Gavriel Boniuk, PsyD

Licensed Psychologist

A young man with brown hair, wearing glasses, a dark blazer, a white shirt, and a patterned tie, smiling against a plain white wall.

I am a licensed psychologist specializing in building strong, adaptable connections that support lasting change. Trained at Long Island University, I work with adults using a practical blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and a relational psychodynamic approach. These therapies allow me to focus on practical skills and the deeper relationships and experiences of my clients.

My work focuses on depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties. I help clients clarify patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop more adaptive ways of relating to themselves and others by tailoring interventions to fit each person’s values, strengths, and life circumstances. My style is collaborative and grounded, offering both concrete interventions and deeper relational exploration to promote processing and growth.

I have devoted my time to working with complex cases of trauma, responding to psychological emergencies, and studying the intricate nature of both of the central schools of thought in psychology. I believe in challenging myself and my clients to become more flexible in thinking by increasing our openness to thought when our usual strategies have not worked.
